I’m Marin Asnes (they/she), a Queer, Non-binary artist born and raised and living in NYC. I grew up studying dance at Steps on Broadway’s Pre-Professional program and fell in love with dance as a mode of storytelling, which has since expanded to acting and singing - dare I say a triple threat? I went to Skidmore College where I studied sociology, dance, theater, and music. I’m so grateful to have been able to experience a true liberal arts education. I’ve always been fascinated by how humans interact with each other in the world, which is ultimately what I feel theater explores at the end of the day. I also believe art is one of the most powerful agents of change, and I am eager to create and take part in work that seeks to expand and question our beliefs and understandings of the world. I also love fantastical works of whimsy and surrealism; my favorite role I’ve ever played is a demonic possessed playboy bunny in the play “Playdate” by Kallan Dana! My favorite artists are Stevie Nicks, Maggie Rogers, and Kate Bush!
